Different Walk, Same Reasons
The world may look a little different right now, but recovery is still everywhere. In lieu of our traditional walk event, Minnesota Recovery Connection invites you to honor, celebrate, and support recovery in a variety of new and exciting ways!
Your health and safety are our top priorities. Instead of a large in-person gathering, we invite you to submit a photo to “Picture Recovery” and then see those photos turned into a temporary, Pop-Up exhibit on the Capitol Grounds on September 19 from 10-2 (registration required). There are lots of ways to participate in Recovery Month this year! Donate or become a fundraiser! Submit a photo! Visit the “Picture Recovery” Pop-Up Exhibit on September 19! Show off recovery with a t-shirt or lawn sign! And more!
We’re still walking, but we’re starting today and we’re walking everywhere. You can walk solo or in small teams of friends and family. We’ll all be walking everywhere, because recovery is everywhere. Then, on September 19, come on down to the State Capitol grounds to finish your walk and take in the “Picture Recovery” Pop-Up exhibit of photos submitted by you and other members of the recovery community.
However you choose to participate, you will help spread the word that Recovery Is Everywhere!
Minnesota Recovery Connection’s Walk for Recovery, presented by NUWAY, is a National Recovery Month event to celebrate all in recovery from substance use disorder and those who help recovery happen!
