Neighborhood Healthsource

Neighborhood Healthsource has provided high-quality primary health care for more than 45 years. The cornerstones are its three community-based clinic sites conveniently located in North and Northeast Minneapolis. Operated for decades as Fremont Community Clinics, the organization name was changed to Neighborhood HealthSource in 2010.

At Neighborhood HealthSource you can get the highest quality health care for yourself and your children, whether you’re covered or not. All 3 of our clinics see patients without health insurance, with the cost based on a sliding fee scale. We can also help those eligible apply for public health insurance programs, and for those with coverage – we accept most plans.2301

Sharing and Caring Hands

Sharing and Caring Hands is a compassionate response to the needs of the poor. We are set up to be a safety-net organization to help with whatever needs are not being met. This includes but is not limited to providing meals, clothing, showers, shelter, transportation help, rent deposits, rent help, medical assistance, dental care, furniture, school expenses, and other miscellaneous needs. Sharing and Caring Hands provides these with dignity, while affirming God’s love for all his people regardless of their circumstances. We reaffirm the self-worth of each individual and want to assist in that person reaching his or her greatest potential.

Sharing and Caring Hands is an extension of the community to the desperate needs of the poor and exists as a vehicle for volunteers to commit their time and resources towards making a difference in the lives of others. Sharing and Caring Hands stands as an emotional anchor and a beacon of hope to those who are alone, afraid, or in need.

Shift MN

Shift MN fights for healthier LGBTQ communities by severing ties with corporate tobacco through education, advocacy, social media, and policy. We work in solidarity with all marginalized communities to fight against the manipulative corporate tobacco agenda in queer communities in Minnesota.

We know that LGBQ Minnesotans smoke at twice the rate of their straight peers. We have created a campaign that spreads the message that it is possible to successfully quit smoking or never start. We ultimately aim to shift the shaming messages smokers receive to positive, empowering love notes to our LGBTQ communities.
