Women’s Advocates, Inc

Women’s Advocates creates a path to self-sufficiency for women leaving abusive relationships.  Women’s Advocates uses a trauma informed approach to its services.  We strive to ensure that the unique backgrounds and perspectives of each woman and child that passes through our doors are considered and folded into every program, service and activity we offer.  Those who stay at our shelter receive:

  • Bedroom
  • Three daily meals
  • Clothing and Outerwear
  • Hygiene Products
  • Laundry
  • Resource Center
  • Living and Dining Rooms
  • Secure Children’s Play Area

In addition to providing safe shelter, we offer:

  • Individualized safety planning
  • 24/7 access to a family advocate
  • One-on-one mental health counseling
  • Daily support groups
  • Drop-in childcare and children’s activities
  • Assistance with employment, transportation, housing, and childcare
  • Referrals to outside resources for legal, social service, and healthcare services
  • Aftercare support with case management services to help our families move into permanent, stable housing after leaving the shelter
