Peer support positions can have different titles (Recovery Coach, Peer Recovery Coach, Peer Recovery Specialist, Recovery Advocate, Certified Peer Recovery Specialist, Resource Navigator, etc.), yet the work they do is the same: Peer Support Professionals utilize their lived experience in recovery to help remove barriers and build recovery capital in individuals, families and communities.

Peers in Minnesota are developing and delivering peer recovery support services in variety of settings: recovery community organizations, treatment centers, drug courts, child protection services, churches, and in many other landscapes. The Peer Support Alliance offers support for these peer positions by hosting events such as monthly networking meetings, advanced education opportunities, speaker events, trainings, and community resource updates.

The Peer Support Alliance is an opportunity for recovery peer professionals across the state and beyond to come together for added support, skill building, networking and problem solving. To learn more and join the Peer Support Alliance, contact peersupportalliance@minnesotarecovery.org
