In our work as Peers, it is common to find that our participants are justice-involved. Many have
been in the criminal justice systems for most of their lives and have experienced the difficulty
and frustration of navigating these systems successfully. How do we exercise smart compassion
with individuals and establish partnerships with correctional organizations?
In this training, we dive into these challenges while exploring how Recovery and Reentry work
together. We trust this training will help you better serve individuals, form effective
partnerships with corrections and improve our communities.
This training is divided into 7 domains, 4 CPRS Domains plus 3 new domains based around the
criminal justice systems. The training is pre-approved by the Minnesota Certification Board and meets
all the requirements to obtain the Certified Peer Recovery Specialist-Forensic Endorsement – CPRS-FE
This training also includes 30 CEUs, 6 of which are ethics.
