Position Description: Administrative Volunteer

Purpose
The purpose of the Administrative Volunteer is to assist in the day-to-day operations of Minnesota Recovery Connection through maintenance of our spaces, assisting on various projects, and directing phone calls or drop-in community members to appropriate staff to have their questions and concerns answered.
Roles & Responsibilities
The roles and responsibilities of the Administrative Volunteer include:
- Providing customer service to community members seeking assistance in person and over the phone
- Directing calls to the appropriate staff members
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment for staff and fellow volunteers
- Collaborating with the Community Engagement Coordinator and the Director of Programs on various projects
- Practicing appropriate ethics and boundaries in accordance with Minnesota Recovery Connection guidelines
- Accurately representing the role of Minnesota Recovery Connection to the recovery community
- Complying with all Minnesota Recovery Connection policies and procedures outlined in the Volunteer Handbook
Requirements
- A minimum of 1 day in personal or family recovery or experience as a recovery ally
- Completion of the volunteer orientation
- High verbal and written communication skills
- A desire to give back to the recovery community
- No violent or predatory convictions
