Purpose
The purpose of the Peer Advisory Council (PAC) Volunteer is to provide recommendations and direction to the board members and staff of Minnesota Recovery Connection to ensure that the organization is living up to its mission, vision, and values.
Roles & Responsibilities
The roles and responsibilities of the Peer Advisory Council (PAC) Volunteer include:
- Attend one 2-hour meeting per month
- Provide program and service recommendations based on what is seen and experienced in the community
- Hold Minnesota Recovery Connection accountable for its programs and services through constructive feedback
- Be an ambassador for Minnesota Recovery Connection in the community
- When possible, plan and implement events or activities that help MRC reach diverse communities of recovery
- Participate in strategic planning for the organization
Requirements
- 1 year in personal or family recovery, or experience as a recovery ally
- A desire to give back to the recovery community
- Completion of Volunteer Orientation
